The AWARD
The European Association of Healthcare IT Managers (HITM), as the pan-European interest representation of CIOs and Healthcare IT Managers and the European Association of Hospital Managers (EAHM), as the worlds' largest interest representation of CEOs and Hospital Directors, are inviting you to participate in the

IT @ NETWORKING AWARDS 2009 (IT @ 2009).

The GOAL
Believing in the fundamental importance of the pan-European potential of IT pioneers, HITM and EAHM are committed to increase their professional authority.

These pioneers need recognition! Their stories will inspire others. The lessons they have learned can help both avoid mistakes and transform healthcare IT challenges into opportunities, into "Made-in-Europe" success stories. This is the goal of IT @ 2009.

The VOTING
Several national or European awards are often decided by "experts", thus not always familiar with real-world challenges. Sometimes, they even make decisions on political grounds.

HITM and EAHM believe that peers will make the wisest decisions in respect to their own needs. As far as healthcare IT is concerned, the Associations consider it to be self-evident that key healthcare professionals and top managers in healthcare facilities will know what is the best solution for them.

To use familiar terminology for IT professionals, IT @ 2009 is built on the principles of best-of-breed and peer-to-peer networking.

An on-the-spot, one-person = one-vote electronic system will be used to enable attending CEOs, CIOs, healthcare IT managers and other disciplines in connection to IT to make their choices.

The REWARD
The winning project will:
- receive the IT @ Networking Awards 2009 Trophy;
- get extensive press coverage, and
- be awarded a cash prize of Euro 5,000.

WHO SHOULD PARTICIPATE?
- If you are a CIO, CMIO, IT Manager or another responsible member of the pan-European healthcare IT community,
- If you feel that your healthcare IT solution is "FIT 4 Europe",
- If you want to share your knowledge with others then do not hesitate and SUBMIT your project summary NOW!
